La maglia azzurra è da sempre un onore indossarla, e soprattutto è un onere valorizzarla con il massimo impegno e rispetto. Marco Tizza sarebbe stato decisamente pronto e all’altezza di affrontare questa importante sfida al GP Larciano. Purtroppo, lo stop a tutte le corse italiane in calendario fino al 3 Aprile a causa della pandemia Coronavirus, ha vanificato questa bella opportunità.
La salute però va tutelata e soprattutto va posta sempre e comunque davanti ad ogni cosa. Quindi, seppur ci sia un piccolo rammarico per questa occasione mancata per cause di forza maggiore, anche in casa Amore e Vita – Prodir, si è scelto di fermarsi dall’attività agonistica almeno fino al 21 Marzo, giorno in cui probabilmente (ma tutto dipenderà dall’evolversi della situazione Convid-19 anche all’estero) il team prenderà parte in Slovenia al GP Slovenian Istria.
“Eravamo entusiasti di vedere Tizza in maglia azzurra a Larciano. Il ragazzo è in ottima condizione ed era perfino migliorat rispetto al Trofeo Laigueglia (dov’era stato protagonista e colto un 8° posto). Sicuramente avrebbe potuto primeggiare in questa corsa che il nostro team vinse nel 1989 con l’australiano Eddy Salas.
Ad ogni modo la decisione presa di sospendere in via precauzionale tutte le gare in programma in Italia, ci trova totalmente d’accordo, perché la salute e l’amore per la vita (come portiamo scritto sulle nostre maglie), deve essere sempre la cosa più importante per ogni essere vivente” spiega Cristian Fanini, team manager di AMORE E VITA | PRODIR. E aggiunge: “Rischiare non ha senso, quindi finché la situazione non sarà almeno stabilizzata anche il nostro team non correrà. E’ chiaro che fa strano vedere manifestazioni monumentali come la Tirreno e la Milano – Sanremo, cancellate, lo dico da amante di ciclismo, ma non ci sono soluzioni alternative. Oltre a Larciano, i nostri atleti salteranno Coppi e Bartali ed il Giro di Sicilia che è una gara a cui puntavamo particolarmente e per la quale speriamo che RCS possa trovare in qualche modo una data alternativa. Comunque, per quanto ci riguarda, se le cose miglioreranno il 21 Marzo prenderemo parte al GP Slovenian Istrian ed il 29 Marzo al GP Adria Mobil. Però tutto dipenderà da come si svilupperanno le cose nei prossimi giorni, perché non vogliamo far correre rischi ai nostri atleti ed al nostro staff. Per quanto concerne invece la convocazione in nazionale di Tizza, voglio concludere dicendo che era davvero meritata, ma se continuerà a pedalare su questi livelli, avrà sicuramente tante altre occasioni per rivestirla in futuro (dopo l’esperienze del 2019 a Larciano, Tour of the Alps e Coppa Agostoni)”.

“We were thrilled to see Tizza committed with the Italian national team in Larciano. Tizza is in excellent condition and he was even better than the Laigueglia Trophy (where he had been protagonist and accomplished a good 8th place). So I’m pretty sure that he could have excelled also in this race that our team won in 1989 with the Australian Eddy Salas. Anyway, the decision taken to suspend all the races scheduled in Italy as a precaution, finds us totally agree, because health and love for life (as we have written on our jerseys), must be always the most important thing for every human being “ explains Cristian Fanini, team manager of AMORE E VITA | PRODIR. And he adds: “Risking to get sick doesn’t make sense, so until the situation is at least stabilized our team will not compete as the most of the other teams in the world. It is clear that it’s kind of weird to see monumental events such as Tirreno Adriatico and Milan – Sanremo, canceled, I say this as a cycling lover, but there are no alternative solutions. In addition to Larciano, our athletes will skip Coppi and Bartali and the Giro di Sicilia which is a race we were particularly aiming for, and for which we hope that RCS organization will somehow find an alternative date. However, as far as we are concerned, if things improve on March 21st we will take part in the GP Slovenian Istrian and on March 29th at the GP Adria Mobil. But everything will depend on how things develop in the upcoming days, because we don’t want to make our athletes and our staff take any risk. As for Tizza’s call-up to the national team, I want to conclude by saying that it was truly deserved, but if he continues to ride on these levels, he will surely have many other opportunities to wear the blue jersey again in the future (after the 2019 experiences in Larciano, Tour of the Alps and Coppa Agostoni) “.
